‘Raised To Win’ — a limited embroidery edition of 25, produced in Lyon by Vangart with Shug Gallery. Each piece translates KPE's distinctive visual language into thread with exceptional precision. Signed, numbered, and made to order.
ShopSelf-taught painter exploring the commonality all people share. His bulbous figures — large bodies, long limbs, tiny heads — rest in quiet isolation, with room left for the viewer to breathe.
KPE Innocent explores the fusion of traditional visual language with new media. His work focuses on the commonality the entire human race shares, regardless of geographic or sociological limitations — themes of love, grace and hope, speaking to the conditions that affect us all. At the end of the day we share similar fears, and we all hope for better things.
His acrylic paintings show bulbous humanoid figures with exaggerated proportions — large bodies, long limbs and tiny heads — that dominate their surroundings. Pop-culture motifs and modernist architecture appear alongside generous negative space. These figures are mostly found in isolation, representing our natural state of individuality.
His work speaks to a reflection on the metaphysical — a reminder that there is more to life than meets the eye, and that good can exist regardless of the evil that is predominant. This he is determined to preach through his practice.
